GPSR requirements for selling into Belgium
GPSR (Regulation (EU) 2023/988) is one EU-wide law. It applies the same when you sell into Belgium as anywhere else in the EU. What changes by market is the language your paperwork has to be in.
The language Belgium expects
Your safety information, warnings, and instructions must be in a language buyers in Belgium easily understand. In practice that means Dutch, French, and German. Your labels, instructions, and Declaration of Conformity need to be available in Dutch, French, and German.
The documents you need
Because GPSR is EU-wide, the same risk assessment and technical file work across every EU market. You mainly adjust the language.
Risk assessment
The hazards above, scored and matched to mitigations, in the format Article 9 expects.
Technical file
Your product details, standards, and evidence in one file you keep for 10 years.
Declaration of Conformity
The signed statement marketplaces ask for before your listing runs.

- What language do my GPSR documents need for Belgium?
- Your safety information, warnings, and instructions should be in Dutch, French, and German, the language buyers in Belgium easily understand. EUProof generates safety warnings in Dutch, French, and German and the other EU languages you sell in.
- Is GPSR different in Belgium than the rest of the EU?
- No. GPSR (Regulation (EU) 2023/988) is one regulation across all 27 EU countries. The risk assessment, technical file, and Declaration of Conformity are the same. What changes per market is the language your documents and labels must be in.
- I sell into Belgium from outside the EU. Does GPSR apply?
- Yes. GPSR applies to products placed on the EU market wherever you are based, and you also need an EU Responsible Person. EUProof generates the documents and does not act as your Responsible Person.
EUProof generates GPSR documentation and does not provide the EU Responsible Person service or legal advice. GPSR conformity is self-declared, so you stay responsible for what you submit.
